Should I do anything to prepare for the sweeps visit?

Please remove hot ash the night before.

Empty the grate of ashes.

Is this process messy ?

No, dust sheets and high attention to detail is used.

Why do I need my chimney swept if I’ve just moved in ?

For your safety in order to help avoid chimney fires and hazardous fumes re entering the home unless you have knowledge its’s been done already within the recommended time frame.

How long does a Chimney Sweep take?

Around an hr to sweep a chimney. Removal of blockages and bird nests may take longer depending on size.

I have a flue liner, do I need it swept?

Yes, Soot is corrosive and can rust the liner.

How can I pay?

Payment methods by bank transfer, cash or card.

​Terms and Conditions:

  • All ariels and cowls must be secured before a sweep takes place.

  • Please ensure all appliances are clear of ash 12 hrs before the sweep.

  • I am fully insured with Public Liability Insurance.

  • Dust control used is hazard rating with HEPA filters.

  • A call out fee of £35 including vat will be charged for an issue of a warning notice for dangerous appliances that cannot be swept.

  • The certificate is only valid upon receipt of payment.
